Good news story – job creation

Letuscare Personnel were referred to Jet via the Growth Hub Service for support with recruitment.  An Employment Broker contacted director Steph Nkomo and arranged to visit her office at a time which suited her.  During the visit we took time to listen and fully understand the needs of the business, we explained to Steph how the service worked and that it was free for her to use.   We agreed to support Steph with her recruitment by advertising the vacancies, screening and matching suitable candidates and arranging an interview timetable which suited her.  The vacancy details were handed over to a Recruitment Officer who worked as an account manager for Letuscare Personnel.

During this time Nicole had contacted Jet for support with finding a job.  She had previously worked in a care setting and the police force before taking maternity leave.  Nicole met with a member of Jet team who took time to understand her needs and circumstances.   As a result Nicole was matched to the vacancy because she had the relevant skills and experience from working in care, and the hours suited her circumstances.  Jet arranged an interview for Nicole at Letuscare Personnel, we ensured she was fully informed about the company and the position she was interviewing for.

At the interview Steph was really impressed by Nicole’s attitude and her previous work experience.   They discussed how Steph wanted to take the business forward into domiciliary care but she did not have the staff to support with this. Nicole was set on straight away recruiting for the domiciliary side of the business.  They are currently applying to register with the CQC as a domiciliary care provider and Nicole already has staff waiting to deliver the service.  They are already bidding for new contracts to deliver care and Nicole is planning to progress on to doing care assessments for new clients.  Jet continues to support Letuscare Personnel with their recruitment, through the Recruitment Officer we maintain regular contact with the business keeping up to date with their recruitment needs and matching any suitable candidates, all completely free of charge.
